filming blog

27th January

Today me another member of my group met in Mare Street to film half of the opening of the group thriller, since two members of the group did not show up I did the filming and the other group member acted with her younger brother. We chose to film in a children’s playground as we wanted to capture innocence in our thriller. During the filming we captured a range of shots, some of these included extreme close ups, extreme , long shots, mid shots, tracking , panning and hand held camera.
We filmed a series of scenes which included an establishing shot, the child playing on the slide etc, the child and its mother holding hands and walking into the park and also clips from the p.o.v. of the mother and of the stalker in the bushes. These shots were vital in building suspense.
When we had finished the filming we returned to college to begin uploading our footage to the computer.
